said to break your front license plate mount and put it in the trunk with your front plate.
then if you get pulled over, you just say it just broke and you will get it fixed immediately. then you have the proof in the trunk. i might try this, but i kinda like my rick's front plate holder. i'll wait til i get a bumper to pull this off.
LOL I actually did this for a couple years when I had my Intergra. I got pulled over at least 7 or 8 times for no front plate and got let off every time... except one. But all it takes is once I got the fix it ticket and I've had a front license plate ever since. Basically if you don't mind letting the cops have a reason to pull you over, go for it.

cops here in irvine are too lazy to care. if anything they admire our cars also if they come up to you from behind, most of the time the cop wont even walk up to the front of your car and realize that you don't have a plate on

Thats my line! hahaha. Never thought of intentionally breaking my front lic. and holder as 'proof' though. Brilliant!

Too bad though. In santa monica, the parking cops can write them now, and you're not around to offer any excuses or 'proof'

Same for registration stickers. I got nailed by a parking cop a few years ago in SD. The meter was fine but my stickers (not registration) were out of date. $65. Sucks.
