Default Front License Plate

Hi all,

The dealer put the front plate holder on my 05 when I got it last Saturday. Don't like the look. I am thinking of removing the front plate.

Just wonder if you have been stopped by the police in the SD area for not having the front plate.

Please share your experience.

Thanks,

Depends on what you carry in your car. A bud of mine suggested that you should always obey all traffic laws especially when carrying a kilo or two of

someone had a badass idea!!!

said to break your front license plate mount and put it in the trunk with your front plate.
then if you get pulled over, you just say it just broke and you will get it fixed immediately. then you have the proof in the trunk. i might try this, but i kinda like my rick's front plate holder. i'll wait til i get a bumper to pull this off.

I live downtown and I never get stopped! I speed through downtown too all the time! To add to that I work in Mission Valley drive to Mira Mar to see family and friends in short I'm all over the place all day long and I nver get stopped or get a double look! Go for it bro!

Kind regards,
Joe

yea i had mine off for about 3 1/2 years and just now i started to get pulled over by cops asking about the front license plate. within a months time spread i got pulled over 3 times. but i didnt get any "fix it" tickets. but i didnt want to risk getting one even tho its only 10 bucks its a waste sperm overall. so i just put mine on. doesnt look that bad with it , just put a black chrome frame on it and it looks fine to me.

Thanks for the reply, all.

Sorry I had to be out of town from Friday noon and just got back last night so I could not go to the BBQ.

Is there a new gathering in SD soon?

That doesn't work so well if your car is parked and you get the ticket. I"ve had this happen twice!
