go change it bak to stock if you can then bring the ticket to a police officer anywhere and have them sign it off and send it to the court w/ 10 dollars processing fee and you're done

i don't think a CHP officer will know if there is a cat or not...

here is one creative option. back in the day i also got a fix it ticket for exhaust on my del sol. before i took the car to the CHP office for a sign off i stuffed steel wool into the exhaust pipe to muffle the sound... the cop said rev your motor and 2 seconds later the cop had decided it was quiet enough and he signed off. total cost was a bag of steel wool lol.
