When I received a ticket for my modified exhaust in my wrx last year, they (courthouse)told me exhaust tickets are not correctable anymore. It is a fine. So basically they told me, dont fix it, and just pay the $100 fine. "Fine" with me. My exhaust was anything but legal. Catless, turboback Kakimoto, you could hear it a mile away. So that was fine with me, I knew what I was getting into when I got that exhaust. So, I went on with my business for another 6 months untill I got a second ticket. This time the fine was doubled to $200 since I had a previous exhaust ticket violation. That made me sell the car and get teh S2k.

allenheathdj - so you're saying that I'll have to pay the $110 anyways and still have to get it check out by the CHP and then go to the judge? That sounds like a lot for a damn exhaust ticket, but I guess I gotta do what I gotta do.
Anyone else have a suggestion?
Oh, and I did at first went to the Fountain Valley police station, and the person at the front desk told me that the new law says that they can't sign Modified Exhaust Tickets anymore, and that I had to go to the CHP.

I got a ticket for modified exhaust a while back, already put the stock one back on and today went to the police station. They told me, however, that I have to go to the CHP station (in Westminster, OC) and have it check out. I'm kind of hesitant to go there since my car is lowered and there's a Vortech kit under the hood.

I got my ticket when i had my tanabe's (Piece of shi*). eveb though i got the ticket signed off at the pasadena CHP the court still denied it and made me pay 110 bucks. Its worth a try maybe the person at the window might by dumb and just take the 10 dollar processing fee. I know they are dumb because last year I went to traffic school 3 times and I also got a 12 hr traffic school for a exhibition of speed ticket (trying to drift the S in Tujunga).
