Engine Rebuild
#2
Alex Doan at Ballade Sports. He rebuilt an F20C recently, this is a brand new engine (everything is OEM). He can definitely work with you on what you want (OEM or OEM specs) prices, and future plans. I had an engine transplant and a fully rebuilt head from him. Good guy and very knowledgeable.

im not sure. For me I had Alex buy me an F22 he compression checked it and made sure everything was good and I had him rebuilt the head too. It was the perfect time for me to upgrade so i upgraded everything. I would definitely call Alex and let him know what you want to do. It's a free consultation, he'll give you the break down. Good luck.

I wasn't quoting new motors, why do you need a brand new motor?
Friend of mine just bought 2 motors in the last couple months, they fell within the price range I quoted. 30k miles on a used motor is perfectly fine IMO for most people replacing a blown motor. I figure save a few bucks, a quick compression test will ensure it at least makes good compression, crank it over with a 19mm wrench a few times to make sure it turns smooth, make sure the oil looks fine and make a purchase, simple as that.

I've got a complete ready to go S2000 F20C motor ready to go right now. Compression numbers show it's nice and healthy. I swapped a F22c last week for a friend who's motor blew up, it went pretty smooth and was done in a few days.
PM me if you're interested in that motor, it'll cost you what we paid for it, not looking to profit just don't need it since the AE86 project car is not going to be done.

Hey guys, tried calling ballade but no answer. Anyone know of another place that can replace the transmission and engine? Or rebuild them if possible. Thanks, looking to get it in the shop by tomorrow.
