Default ECU Reset

I have been reading about ECU reseting on the forum and it's benefits. However, I feel that one way should be better than the others. So which is best and is most safe for the car??

1- Pull the positive terminal on battery 2-Pull Ecu Fuse 3-Pull Ecu plug under hood

As well, I'm assumming all of these would be done w/the engine off? Does the

ignition need to be on?? Thanks, new S2k Owner

Pull the ECU fuse from the fuseblock located on the driver's side kick panel. Engine should be off. Pull it for ten seconds then replace. Nothing else is needed. Use a fuse pulling tool so you don't damage the fuse.

Pull ECU fuse under the driverside dash, I believe it's a 15 amp fuse. Doesn't matter whether on or off because it will shut off engine anyway once you pull it. Give it 10 minutes then pop fuse back in and start engine.

The fuse pulling tool is actually right there in the fuse box panel, good tip nonetheless.

Type in on your control pad.

Up Up Down Down Left Right Left Right B A B A Select Start

and your good to go!

JK Sorry, just take off the negative battery terminal.

IMO - Your not going to see a noticable difference.

If you take off your negative battery cable then I hope you have your radio code because you will need to re-enter it to get it back.
