Is it easy to get away with test pipes?

I'm still running the stock exhaust w/ test pipe and the lower half of the bumper does turn slightly brown/yellow after a few hundred miles. Rubbing compound takes it right off though.

It was on an Integra, not my former S. The S is a newer car, it may run cleaner, I'm not sure.

Yes, since it adds 5-7 HP then it might be easier to get away from cops than if you were stock.

do these check points jump from city to city? Ive never seen one. Are they rare here in so cal?

The main reason I would not get a test pipe is the constant check engine light on. That would drive me nuts!

there's couple of places in LA they have the portable smog station ALL THE TIME.

the thing is, they can really mess you up if they really want to split hair. IMHO for the small gain it's not worth it.

plus it's not good for the air and that's that.(but if you have a boosted supra then it's a different story )

just get a set of 18mm sparkplug defouler at kragen, 5 dollar fix for any honda test pipe
