so if we see these checkpoints coming up, is it possible to flip a u-turn?
if you see it the intersection before. i usually only see one cruiser or bike police hanging around while the guys do their thing surveying.

If its very noticable you will probably get there attention. Most the time they do it on smaller roads or near and center divider so you cant avoid the check point.

Jleez - I think thats worst case scenerio i.e. you get pulled over you get the ticket for no cat 1500.00 they impound your car and they hold it for 30days due to the violation then they hit you with $1000.00 - $1500.00 fee for towing and impound costs.

Cali try's to find very creative ways to earn extra $$$.

I personally don't feel it's worth it. Hug a tree.

Agreed. It also puts a nasty film on your back bumper.

Yes, it does leave a nasty film. FWIW, I have had one on my Integra in the distant past. Times have changed, the law has become more strict, the law is more aware and constantly looking.

does this happen over a long period of time? I havent had my tp very long but havent noticed anything. Some exhausts dont stick out far enough, ex.spoon exh. always left black buildup on my bumper and that was w/out tp...

IME, it doesn't take long at all. I kept meticulous care of my car and it was there every week, regardless. Two weeks was an absolute mess.
