Yah, you pushed the ear wax back against the ear drum. No problem, either have the doctor flush it out or you can do it yourself depending on how much junk you have in there. The doc will have a GIANT syringe they can use to flush it with water thus forcing out the ear war. You can buy a much smaller, less effective version at the pharmacy.
just had this done the other day! not being able to ear is super annoying.

I have a method that worked for me in my swimming days. Just lie down on a bed on your side with the ear thats clogged touching the mattress. Then in a hammer like motion just start banging you head agaist the mattress until you hear a sloshing sound. Eventually the increased g-forces when you hit your head will pull the water out.

I was a swimmer for 7 years and this occasionally happened. Pour like half a capful of hydrogen peroxide in the ear...let it sit for a minute or so and then tilt head to the side again. Don't do it too much or it will dry your ear out too much and you can get an ear infection.
is there anything this guy hasn't done

it is probaly ear wax and when you used the Qtip you pushed it in farther. you can go to a pharmacy and try out some ear wax remover drops but i have found them not really effective at the point you are at. looks like you need to see a DR so the can use a saline flush to get it out. good luck.
