Default drunk driving procedure

if its late at night and see someone swerving or driving in a drunken fashion, do you call it in? who do you call, chp? can they even do anything?

Just call 911 or 1-800-28DRUNK.

Call CHP. They have the # listed at night on the amber alert boards....

911 can connect you to the appropriate dept. if necessary.

my procedure is to switch two lanes away and past him/her ..... i guess it would make a difference if u tailed the drunk driver until CHP gets there...but do u really have all that time to wait or would u really want to wait.

Yes. When I got my DUI I learned some CRAZY statistics........ Something like 3 out of every 7 cars around you after midnight is over legal BAC%.

Those people can hurt others as well as themselves. There is NO excuse for driving drunk....... Especially if you already see them swerving on the road and whatnot. Please call it in...

Why are you even asking? If you don't think it will make a difference, don't ask what the correct "procedure" is.

All I know is that I don't want some loaded tool plowing into a member of my family. I have no sympathy for drunk drivers.

im asking you guys if you think it would make a difference. sheesh, funny how no one has answered that question directly. i know it's scary and dangerous etc, thats why im asking.
