Driving School In Sd Area
Hi
Being a new driver and already jumpin into a RWD, i think the best thing to do is take some lessons or autoX to gain better control of the car and know the cars limits. (after reading so many spinout stories on the site i've come to conclude s2k will bite u in the ass if you dunno what your doin)
any of you guys know any places in the SD area where it offers training/autox, etc?
If so, how much does the training normally cost? (est)
Did most of you take them or you just learn from experience?
Thanx!!
-Peter

Not sure about a school or auto-x in San Diego. An alternative would be to attend an HPDE track day, such as the track days run by speedventures (www.speedventures.net). Many S2k owners attend those events. They offer (require for novices) instructors to help teach you the basics of high performance driving and are driving safely.

There's an Auto-X @ Qualcomm Stadium, this Sunday 7/11.
I will be up at Raptor's BBQ, but I know Chris (TrophyFodder) is planning on being there. He has a Berlina.....look for him spinning in tight little circles! Hehehehe.
By the way, Auto-X is a good way to learn the car, without risking higher speeds like on a full track. Just take it a little at a time, work your way up, and you'll be alot better off than most!
