Default The Dreaded Check Engine Light

So does anyone know where I can get this checked out without getting raped. I remember the Honda dealer saying it was about $100 to do the test when it happened to me last time. No its not the gas cap I checked that first.
I was playing around with the throttle body for a few minutes yesterday but I made sure everything was nice and tight. Any suggestions. I spend most of my time in the Marina del Rey/Culver City area. Thanks.

What did you do with the throttle body? Maybe you knocked some carbon loose and it got into the air system. That's what happened to me after Honda did a throttle body clean. They did a second clean and all was well.

OH...i put one of those vortex thing-a-ma-jigs in the throttle body hoping it would increase HPs and stuff. Then I found out its crap, so I took it out. I know..what a NOOB. Hahaha. At least I only paid 15. Thought it was worth trying out.

if your in the military or a military brat (like myself) you can go the base if they have an auto hobby shop and the last i checked they only charged me 10 bucks to get the code read. or if you lucky (like myself agian) you have an uncle who owns a repair shop that has one. good luck, where do you live? i maybeable to go with you to a military base and get it checked out.
