I'm a product of a broken home. Did it harm me? I don't know, how would I know. My life is always what I consider normal, it may not look normal to you, but it's normal in my mind. I guess it's human nature to adapt, if I didn't adapt then maybe I would be in a rubber padded room shaking on the floor in the fetal position.

I'm sure I'm crazy (literally) but maybe it's not because of the divorce, maybe it's because of all the other things that I've seen and did in my short life. With that said there are other people that have been through worse and yet continue to fight on. So who's to say.

I know people with little piss hole problems and they can't take it, can't handle it, and are always complaining about "poor me". Circumstances only harm you if you allow them too.

Hope this helps, good luck with your report.

Everyone in the world thinks the same. Thoreau said it best: "The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation."

I saw my counselor today. What you say is true. What you grow up with seems like home or normal. When you get older, you might find out that your homelife was not good, but how were you to know any different as a kid? But then, as an adult you may accept the same kind of shit, and think it's okay when it wasn't okay then and it isn't now.
