Many '00 S2000's have synchro grind on the 1-2, one big thing to watch out for.

I have a MY'00 with 115,000 miles. I've had to replace the radiator due to a leak but other then the usual maintenance (oil, brake pads, tires) I have no problems at all.
same thing happened to me with the radiator. clutch has to be replaced at least once with that many miles. personally i think 02' and 03's are the best years

sounds good , thanks everyone for all of the reply's!

last question is if it has a plastic window, is it possible to just replace the plastic with glass? or would i have to replace the whole top?

about how much does that run?
I would just try to find one that has a glass window already. The plastic is a PITA and when it gets scratched up it makes your car look like crap. There's no way you can just put in a glass on a top with the plastic, you would have to replace the whole top which you could find used here in the FS section for around $600. Then it's a 4-6 hour job to replace the top depending on how fast you work.

You can easily find an 04-05 with under 30K miles between $18K-$20K.
It's depressing how much it dropped in 6 months since I bought mine.

MY00 is at about 93k, no problem so far. Just the usual scheduled maintenance. I do need to change my vacuum silenoid cos its throwing a CEL and its leaking, but not big deal.

2001 here w/ 97k miles

Cat went out at 95k, replaced by Honda under good-will

Otherwise, no issues, runs like it did the day I drove it off the lot
