Canon for sure for their awesome picture quality. I've already upgraded to my second canon. My sister got a canon SLR. My old roommate dumped his sony (T1 I think) for a canon.
There are smaller cameras, but I wouldn't buy anything besides a canon digital point-and-shoot.

get the canon, i use to use 350d/rebel xt all the time before switching to nikon
they are great camera, the fuji(which i also have) not as much well built as canon, it's a okay point and shoot but when you come down the serious stuff(such as adult expo) you need the canon.
just ask bc =P j/k
the fuji also use the XD card, it's an oddball format which is more pricy than sd/cf
