Default Digicam Help

Hello everyone,

I'm looking to buy a digital camera that is priced around $500. I've looked at the Sony DSC-T30, Sony DSC-T9 and about all the other ones in this price range. Obviously the Sony's are slick, but upon reading reviews I'm going to stay away from them.

I basically need a well rounded camera - one that is relatively small in size and takes great pictures.

I've narrowed it down to about two choices - please add your selections (that may be not included) and your opinion.

Here are my two choices:

1) Canon SD700 IS (A.K.A. IXY 800IS)
2) Fujifilm FinePix F30 Zoom

Hmm... I've been looking too and one of my friends who's really into cameras (i.e., buys accessories for his cameras like we do for our cars) suggested this website for me:

hope that helps!

i got the casio exilim s600 and i love it.

size is great, feels smaller than the sony's. doesn't have that gay sliding door stuff. has a big screen. lasts all day long. an idiot like me can use it very easily because there is about 20 presets that are simple to choose then shoot. plus you can store your own profiles for the best shot and re use them in the future.

the movie mode is dope too. it is constantly recording when you hit the movie mode. so it actually records 5 seconds of footage before you even press the record button.

play with it at fry's or circuit city or whatever, then buy it at costco. it's $350 and worth every penny IMO.
