Default differential bites the dust

so im running errands in cerritos...and i make a u-turn and my rear diff started making these weird humming noises...i know our diffs are noisy but this was like...OH CRAP! so with norm reeves honda cerritos being about a mile away..i took it there and did a test drive with the shop foreman...and his verdict is i have a bad differential.

he said they were going to flush the diff and see if that takes care of it..if not then..time for a new diff...

the car is brand new...2007...1500 miles since i bought it almost 3 weeks ago. no donuts, launches or anything of that sort. im a bit disappointed

i did get a Lexus IS250 as my loaner car =)

good news is that its covered in warranty. My diff recently went out after 96,000 mi. I had to pay for a brand new one.

to be honest...im really impressed with the way the IS drives compared to the TSX. the auto tranny shifts smoothly and seamlessly wheresas the TSX...it was very jerky. if i had to go back to a 4 door "sporty" car...IS get my vote.

It's because of all the burnout competitions you participated in at the Los Feliz meet.
