I think it should be this;

If one of us wins the grand prize, you dole out a million per person. That's the only way it makes sense.

Well if he wins I guess he can look and see if they posted in this thread, and then also they need to save their tickets to show him b4 collecting the money, so even a losing ticket would in essence be valuable
