The Dent Fairy
I was just about to leave work today, when I heard something I'm sure most of you dread:
Him: "Do you drive the silver convertible parked out back?"
Me: "Yeah, why?"
Him: "I just hit it"
Me: "..."
Anyhow, I went out to take a look. It could not be bad, no one drives all that fast in this lot, but then again I just came back from the Dreamcation Dent Day...
The pics will speak for themselves.
The trunk is creased parallel to the keyhole to the right and buckled up enough so that the trunk seal no longer seals the trunk. I can easily fit my hand in the crevice - and I had to drive home in the rain. The light is pushed in about 1/2" on the inner edge. The rear bumper has a nice impact bruise on it that does not show up well in these pics. The bumper also detached on the passenger side, but I was able to snap it back in before I drove home.
I got all the insurance info, but damn this sucks...

Looking on the brighter side of this situation, at least the guy owned up to what he did

Too many people in SoCal will just leave the scene, at least a honest dude hit you.

It was one of my coworkers. Additionally, two people were present when it happened and it was right under our outside surveillance camera.
But I'd rather think he did it because he was honest.
My car was hit because it was raining like hell and two people dashed out of the building to their cars. The driver swerved to miss them, and my car happened to be right there.
