I think the "poor" people chose to be poor. When I went to school, I was jealous of the "poor" people, they got Cal grant A-B-C, Perkins Loans, Pell grants, all free money. I have to take out personal loans.

No loans for me. Just working close to 40hrs per week so I could pay for tuition since my parents just made enough that I couldn't qualify for grants/financial aid etc.............

I'm neither a dem nor a rep because my econmic views are conservative and my social views are liberal.

My parents didn't. And I am sure the hard working poor who can't get a break would be pissed to hear you say that........

The middle class (what is left of it) always gets screwed because they have too much AND too little........

This I gotta agree with.

And there are folks out there too with all kinds of degrees and still can't catch a break no matter how hard they work.

I mentioned that b/c my parents washed cars in 1975 in north carolina at 2.00 an hour w/ tips. They were IMMIGRANTS off the boat (0 money), and look at where they are today.

Poor can be rich, if they are motivated.

My parents are examples of will and determination, and they don't even speak english, 20% english at most.

Lots of times it's who you know.

And the "haves" know more people that the "have-nots".

It can be a vicious cycle....

generalization = Since my family is poor, then most likey I'll be poor.
If my family is rich, then I'll be rich.

Blue class, always blue class
White class, always white.

Poor can't move to blue and blue can't move to white. That's wrong.

That is generalization. And that is not true.
