I say the image is changing!!
When she is CW, her RIGHT arm is out higher
When she is CCW, her LEFT arm is out higher.
If our brain was reversing the direction, it would NOT reverse the picture as well!!!

When I saw this yesterday it was counter for a moment but when I turn away and look at it again its clockwise...
I just spoiled it for myself and open the file with image ready and the frame by frame animation shows her direction going clockwise. sorry if I spoiled it for everyone

she's turning both ways. When she's spinning clock wise, her head is tilted towards the right. When she's turning counter-C, her head lean towards the left. It's just a timed gif...one direction for a while, and then the other. I don't see anything optically illusive...O.o

I finally got her to go counter-clockwise by tracing her foot
down from the right and forcing it to be towards the back
instead of the front. Then, she gets stuck going CC.
