D.I.Y. Cellphone ang GPS holder
Just wanted to share a cheap D.I.Y. cell or gps holder
Sorry of the Pics
Materials:
Hurricane strap (Lowe's)
Nail stopper (Lowe's)
Metal screws
Black paint
Velcro (industrial strength)
Pics of Hurricane strap and Nail stopper
Steps:
1. Flatten the ends of the nail stopper
2. Bend hurricane strap at the neck to create an slight angle (to avoid being hit by the radio door)
Like this: You can make a larger angle
3. Paint (although I advice that you do step 4 first)
4. Adjust the final angle you desire, mark the hole and drill (I painted mine first and ended up repainting them because of scratches)
5. Put velcro on the cellphone holder and the longer end of the hurricane strap
6. Determine the location where you want to position the nail stopper then drill a whole (ooouch) (total 4 wholes)
Here's the finish project
Cellphone:
GPS
Optional:
Buy one those cigarette lighter multiple sockets and use 3M double sided tape (Hence, the long nail stopper)
Finished project with socket
Hope you like it!

A+ for creativity but errrrrr.
Terrible place for GPS placement. Take your eyes way away from the road when looking at it, not to mention using it.
Cell phone holder really?

I see you got more negative comments than positive, its cool. This is just me sharing, not forcing. To each his own....
I'm joking half the time but you need to be a bit more thick skinned on the internet. I didn't bash you personally at all, so stop taking it that way. I did give you an A+ for creativity. I don't see where you say I got more negative comments than positive though.
p.s.
You mad?

nice! yah kinda low, but good idea. I made one for my iphone copying the location of the modifry dash bracket. i'll post up pics sometime.
Yeah Post some pics. (Dont know if you're violating any patent infringement though)
It was originally intended for the hardwired lighter plug (such a hassle to run cables and plug it in the original place) and just decided to add the holder. Besides, I usually dont use my GPS unless its an out of town trip.
