price won't be that bad if you fix it yourself. If you take a to a shop, labor charge will add up (along with the amount of waiting days).
Well, that would be the only viable way of getting this car a second lease on life. But what I meant to ask was, would getting replacement parts from a junkshop such as a used rear axle make the repairs unsound financially-speaking?

I would buy it back. You could make money if you part it out.

The buy back offer was for $4386. About 20% of the value. I'm not a mechanic so I'm not sure if it is worth the trouble of buying it back.
that is a pretty good deal for a buy back and the money can be made back easily if you have the time to part it out.

I feel for ya. About the same thing happened to me and my ap1 this past November, except it was up in the canyons AND driving topdown. Walked away from it with a couple of scratches and bruises, got the check for my car, got another s , and am now working on the buy back so I can part her out and get my f22 back (did an engine swap back in may).

Anywho, I'm glad to hear your okay! As many said to me, s2000's are replaceable, YOU are NOT! Go for the buyback and another s!!! Hope everything works out... Best of luck to ya!!
