Default Cop Warning Thread

Just a reminder out there for everyone to stay more alert if you're cruising a little more aggressively out there.

now that the weather's much better bike cops are out in full force. rode from newport up to anaheim tuesday afternoon and saw 3 bike cops, and 1 on the way back. they seem to like to hide in the shadows of the overpasses and catch people flying by.

and as soon as you come off the 55s into newport blvd /costa mesa there and then down into the penninsula....watch everything you do. there's bike cops everywhere, pulling people over for everything.

i've watched the same bike cop pull over three people in the last 25 min. or so. they have no problem writing you up for a 33 in a 30.

my general rule is "if you see 1, there's another 1 nearby". and it's always been about 80% right.

keep your eyes open guys

theres always one on the side of the 22 (between city drive and magnolia freeway between 3-4pm with a radar gun hiding in the shadow.

couple of bike cops hide on imperial highway in the shopping center from birch all the way down to valencia.

^ Yep, you can talk your way out of it with a car cop, but if you get caught by a bike cop you got no chance.

this is ridiculous. just watched two more people get pulled over. there's 2 bike cops making laps around probably a 1/2 mile radius around my house. i'm scared to even go outside.

they seem to pulling a lot of people over for cali stops. so make sure you count to 3 before you roll out from a stop sign.

On Knott between the 22 freeway all the way up to Katella there are about 2-3 bike cops sitting there waiting for you. Speed limit is 40 or so and some part is 45. Don't get caught driving 50+ here or you're toast. Also slow down for the High School on Lampson and Knott.

Yep....good call about the school zones. if there's even 1 kid around, the speed limit always drops to 25...be aware guys! it doesn't have to be school hours either.

always used to see one on El toro looking for the ppl speeding going west. he hangs out on a residential street on the opposite side a few blocks before trabuco i think it was...

its a bike cop and the bushes are tall enough u cant see him. if u look really hard u can sometimes see the helmet but by then its too late.

oh ya its a dicky spot too cuz the speed limit goes from 55 to 50 right at that spot...
