I hope the county actually keeps it as open land and doesn't decide to use it for land development.

I know it's a struggle to maintain balance but much (all) of that land is closed off to hikers, mountain bikers, etc. You can only get in there on a docent-led tour from the Irvine Nature Conservancy or whatever they are called.
