I had the same issue, i think it was when I uninstalled my VPN for work that it started screwing stuff around.

I would try reinstalling the network components.
True, I wasn't thinking about that--it's too early In that case, try reinstalling the network card drivers and see if that works. If not, then there's gotta be some kind of software interfering with your internet connection (norton internet security is one example, and is notorious for this)

Maybe you may have already tried....but, Go to Internet Explorer, Options, and then, Connections tab. Then click on LAN settings. Make sure all those are unchecked or play around with those settings. HOPE that helps.
