Comptech Exhaust
I have a chance to pick up a brand new Comptech Exhaust for pretty cheap and I was looking for some reviews on the exhaust and couldnt find any. I was just curious if anyone knows how loud this exhaust is and how much drone it has compared to like a Spugen Dual Ti or an Invidia? I looked at Comptech's website and they dont make silencers for the 04-05 exhaust yet so I dont know if I should buy this exhaust becuase I am looking for something that is going to be a little less loud and less drone. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks again.

Hey Rob,
PM Wongawa (Jack).....he has the Comptech exhaust. I like the look and the sound is pretty mellow. The tips are almost like stock 00-03 ones, but with a flat finish.

I have the Comptech on my 00. I love the sound, but it is loud. So loud in fact that I did get the quiet tip inserts and now it's just perfect.
Now this is so subjective though. I have driven in a car with the Spugen exhaust on and it makes my comptech sound like a pussycat.
Ultimately I got the quiet tips to cut the freeway drone. It was there just enough to bother me.
So adding the quiet tips probably negated any performance gains.
But it looks pretty and it sounds nice and I got it for a steal slightly used so I am a happy camper.

Thanks Ash I appreciate the advice. Unfortunatly they dont make the quiet tips for the 04 exhaust otherwise I would for sure get them. I think I am just going to buy the exhaust and hope for the best. Well I do have the spugen dual Ti on right now so I am looking for something quieter so hopefully this will do it. Thanks again.

Ive heard a Comptech on a 00... In my opinion though.. it isn't loud at all.. more like what someone would call a sport tuned exhaust. I would say that my Spugen single is louder.. that one in my eyes is just about perfect while my old Invidia was PERFECT (frankly, it was loud) but it gave me headaches.
If you like an exhaust that sounds like the factory made it.. that would be a good choice.
