Default Which clutch and where to get it installed?

I'm going on 20K miles now and have always thought the stock clutch sucked. Recently it's begining to suck even more.

What kinda clutch do you guys have and/or recommend?

Also where did you get it installed?

I'm in the Inland Empire but don't mind driving too far for quality work.

Thanks guys

I have a Tac performance clutch, since I plane on getting a Vortech Supercharger and it was recommended by Vortech. I can't remember the name of the company but if you go to Vortech and look for Vortech dealers in Tamecula, that's were I had it done.

Take a look at the STAR clutches. I bought one but didn't install it since the dealer replaced my clutch under warranty with a Honda one.

Weseloh Honda has done a lot of clutch work. They are down in San Juan Capistrano.
I actually still have my STAR clutch since I didn't use it. I can sell it to you if you want.

I do not recommend Exedy. I went with an Exedy clutch and after just 1,200 miles it failed. The garage I worked with sent it back to Exedy who simply said the clutch showed normal wear. No one was willing to explain how 'normal wear' for a $1,000 clutch was less than a couple thousand miles.

My stock clutch lasted 38,000 miles ... Exedy 1,200.

I hear the cusco clutch is awsome, but may be a little agressive for the street.

here's another vote for the STAR clutch. They are actually under the name SPEC now, http://www.specclutch.com/

I plan to use a stage 2 (kevlar face) with a lightened pressure plate. I'm not sure about where to get it installed, I wonder if the Spugen boys do it or can recomend someplace. PM AHHVTEC

im using ACT Street Clutch, nothing fancy but A LOT better than the stock one. you dont really need anything stronger unless you are planning on putting more 'power' mods in your car.
