clutch/transmission problem

This happened to me. I was merging onto the freeway and I heard a pop then pedal went to the floor. I lifted the pedal with my foot and the pedal was stuck in the upright position. With all of my strength I could not push the pedal down. I was only a couple miles from the house so I rolled through some stop signs and made my way home rev matching the shifts. Turns out my T/O bearing exploded. When we pulled the trans, ball bearings fell out.

This is about the most sensible guess in here.... along with the other post about a T/O bearing etc. My best guess is of course something physical blocking the pressure plate etc.
OR.... its possible even the linkage on the slave could be jammed up somehow though I find it rather unlikely.

So much incorrect info in here..... sigh.

My opinion on this is that one of the sections on the clutch disk broke off like someone previously stated and got engaged between the springs on the disk. I've done two s2000 clutch swaps in which that was the case and when attempting to put the car in gear it was almost impossible due to an extremely stiff clutch pedal.

I was just stating my personal experience which sounded a lot like the OP's. Everything else on my clutch was fine, just the T/O bearing was destroyed. If you are in there replacing the bearing, you might as well do the entire clutch while you are at it.
