do tiny spot on the bottom where it screws on for testing. How deep of scratches are we talking? I know I had a knob on my 300ZX that was much like the ARC finish and I buffed it out, scratches were shallow though. Perhaps the same with the spoon I'd expect. The one I did was ti. The coloring finish completed due to heat, should penetrate at least fairly deep in the metal I'd expect, so very light polishing shouldn't be a huge deal. Wish I could tell you FOR SURE, but I haven't done either of those knobs.
Anyone?

I had alot of scratches on my ARC Ti Ball... I took a light metal polish to it and it took ALL coloring off..
so I had to recolor it.
First thing i did was put it in an oven for 1 hour at 450degrees. It turned the knob a golden color. after that I took a blow torch to it and burnt it for about 10minutes. Make sure you have it on a surface that can take the extreme heat. And in an area that doesnt have alot of stuff flying around in the air.. anything that touches the knob will melt. It took about 2.5hours to let the knob sit and cool. DO NOT USE WATER. you will have mineral deposits and discolorations. Fans are no good as well because it may blow something that will melt and stick to the knob while it is SUPER SUPER HOT.
I sort of over did it and Burnt the top. Over all i think it looks pretty good.
Would I polish it again? probably not.
