Two of my friends were talking and one said her car got stolen, and the guy said, in one of the dumbest attempts to comfort someone ever:

"At least you weren't in it."

Well, i had to take my final today.. I emailed my professor yesterday about it, and she basically told me to screw myself. I'll find out the results tomorrow. The horrible part is that i know for a fact if i had 5 min to review my notes, i would not be in this situtation. As for my car, no call's from the cops yet.. I was way bummed today. It finally really struck me that its gone. I forgot to say as well that this weekend i had a big project. I sound proofed some spots in my s with dynamat and eDEAD (like quietcar) I put all of my trunk lining inside there with my newly purchased Neuspeed XBRACE, digital camera, and ect. All gone now. Now i have to find some trunk lining. I called my HOA to see if they would cover the stolen things in my car, they said no and chuckled a little, that pissed me off today.
Seriously thank you for all the support guys, my world really felt like it was crashing down. But when i read the comments it keeps my head up.
THANK YOU. I'll post any updates!

Worse case scenario is that the chair will back your prof, but it's worth a shot - you've got nothing to lose. I'm kinda surprised that you got that sort of response. I would suggest talking to the chair in person - don't send an email. Hope that helps - GL...
