No problems from Lake Tahoe to Ventura County for me. More bars in more places.

what up Nate...sorry to hear you're having problems with your phone again.
here's the deal...Cingular does use some of T-Mobiles towers but only about 1/3 of them out here in the LA area. They use a lot of the old AT&T towers.
Their contract with T-Mobile is over this year and they've been frantically trying to get their own towers solidified so they can stop paying T-Mobile so much. If you knew the figures i'm talking about your jaw would hit the ground.

I can almost guarantee this is what is happening. They are bringing their new towers online and sometimes they need to reset their system for it to happen so the end-user will get disrupted service. This along with the whole re-branding they're going through equals bad customer experience. I know i a lot of their customers are jumping ship because they've had enough.

It really sucks but every company goes through stuff like this so don't let anyone tell you one company is better than the next because really...they're not.

Here a little bit of advice for everyone...find a company that meets your needs for where you live and stick with them.
For those who don't know me, i promise this is years of experience talking. The people that know me personally know why i can sit here and make a statement like that.

i don't work for Cingular.

as far as the figures go...i'm sure it's something you can probably dig up if you tried. i sort of don't wanna put it out there in case it's priviledged info.
