When it happened to mine at a party I just soaked it well with water and then got as much off with my hand as possible. Then I washed my car with Dawn and then had to re wax it. I didnt notice the egg till the next morning so it was dry also. One of the egg hits even dented my front fender...
The only good thing that went my way was that I had just put two coats of P21s on her a month before. I only had very minor paint problems in one area and I think it was more from the shell scratching it.
Good luck!

I did the same by washing it all off with water and put a new coat of wax on it. I have small scratches on my front bumper from the impact which sucks but you can't really see if unless you come up close.

most of the time, the eggshell breaks and fragments into millions of tiny particles that actually carve out a 'ring' of paint. Check for it. If you're lucky, the egg didnt hit too hard, and didnt take off any paint.
Either way, clean it off asap, since it's acidic, and WILL etch the paint.
