Whoa - they make people give them deposits? Sheesh, I'm in the wrong business. (Work has always paid for my cell. Haven't had a cell bill my whole life - and I was alive before there were phones.)
yea people with crappy or no credit will be required to put down a deposit.. Sprint is usually the cheapest @ $125..

Verizon is about $400
AT&T was $375 (i think)
Tmobile not sure... but i believe it was $275

Sprint actually raised their deposits to $500 for people with really bad credit. $250 was what it was set at before. I worked in the Seattle area in might be different out here in California.

Amazing that consumers put up with these numbers. Joe the Plumber, Nancy the Nurse should demand interest payments. I wonder what Verizon earns (simple interest) on these deposits?

If you got 5-6 months... lower your plans to the lowest plan 19.99 and pay for the rest of it.

6 X 20 is only 120.00. Still cheaper.

State of California, you can not be bound by contract... Sure.

You can cancel, and not pay the cancellation fee if you stick it to them the "legal" way.

But, they will pro rate your plan and rape you with your used/ unused minutes and text
With that whole class action law suit that wen down with At& t (I think)... ya, people got their cancellation fees refunded... but now, they are making the money by inflating the pricing on the phones to $600/ ea WITH activation,...

At least thats what I heard that they were going to do.

I don't think I can change my plan to something cheaper. Or at least that's how it shows when I try it on their website.

I'll have to try doing in with one of their reps...
