i never had mine removed. but for those that have for no reason, sorry.. but..


edit: if your too lazy to read the article, it basically states that the appendix does have a function afterall, and its good.

Though I'm pretty sure doctors don't take out organs 'for no reason'...

as long as you got the money, doctors will do almost anything. and since removing an appendix is legal, dr's probably have for no reason other than a person doesn't want it and sees it as useless. ive heard of people getting it removed for fear of appendicitis (which would be understandable, say, 10 years ago)

My mother-in-law almost died from appendicitis, I'm quite certain she thought it was removed for good reason.

My instructors back in nursing school emphasized that the appendix has no relevance in our bodies physiology Guess they were wrong
