Default Can an 2004 S2000 be AP1?!

I have my S2000 Euro market pobably, the VIN is JHMAP1????T2004?? On the VIN it seems it's an AP1 and I have the F20C2 engine. Though the look is the new model I assume is AP2. I thought first AP1 AP2 refers to the model not the engine!?! can anyone help me on that.

wow im confused as well. AP1 = chassis code and F20 or F22 = Engine Code.

how can you have a 2004 AP1?

Sorry. in your vin the model year is represented by a single letter/digit not by a number string. The number you see at the end of your vin represents your car's production number of that particular year.

the letter/number before the T should represent your model year.

Y 2000
1 2001
2 2002
3 2003
4 2004
5 2005
6 2006
etc..

Did you buy it used? Perhaps some previous owner did a AP2 conversion on an AP1?

No. No it's stock, but Euro version, the vin is like this
JHMAP11304T200453
So it's 04 as Roller boy said.

Now the other question is. the 04+ AP2 in US has fiber gearbox.
In Euro, is it as well 04+ or no? I thought first it's related to AP1 or AP2 model, but Germany and France for example still offer the 2.0 Liter with Fiber gearbox, I checked it on their website, but I can't tell if the 04 was as well..... Is the Euro 08 still considered AP1 if the engine and look are still like 04???!?!
