Thread closed for now. Jay sent me a PM stating that his potential tax return should settle the debt.

Update: Welcome to 2009. Sent a PM to Jay asking when he would be filing his 2008 income taxes and when I could expect him to pay me off (he sent me a PM last month stating he fully intended to do as such). His response was:

"I wish my New Years started off better Justin but thank you and Happy New Years to you too. I heard somewhere that we should be getting the w2s beginning of February. I would give you cash but my grandfather who was in the hospital has passed and i'm trying to help my family out as much as possible."

If his grandfather truly passed away I am sorry to hear that. Best wishes to him and his family. With that said, there are always two sides of an argument in this scenario: (1) family comes first and everything else doesn't matter or (2) no matter what you have to man-up and meet your own personal obligations. Argument 1 can be very persuasive. However, when you take the longevity of a debt into consideration, that argument becomes less and less valid (IMHO). So, it is my opinion that Jay has had more than enough time to fulfill his debt to me.

Mod/Admin: Please permanently ban Jay. He has no business interacting on this forum where 99.9% of the members are responsible/accountable for their debts. Jay and I will settle this one way or another, but at this point he has disrespected the S2ki community and needs to go.

The responsibility of ones family do not rest on the shoulders of the unemployed. +1 for collateral. Motivation will be necessary to recover the money. Banning him would not help you and might hinder you as he still wants to be a community member

Understand what you are saying but he is not an honorable person and should not have the privileges of interacting with other forum members who live up to their responsibilities instead of running and hiding.

This about getting your money back. If he wants to tread the walk of shame daily then let him. This thread will be your only means of salvation.

Ban him and you just charged him off. Is it worth $700 to you?
