Default California Emissions

Im interested in getting a new exhaust. From what I can collect, having the TP makes a nice addition to any existing exhaust system. I'm afraid that the illegalness of the TP is going to cost more than it benefits (tickets and such).

Just wondering, how many of you guys are running TPs and what kind of experiences have you had with the law if any? Expensive tickets? Car impounded?

I've never had any trouble running a TP, you just have to know yourself and the way you drive. If they have reason to check for a TP then you should not have one or correct the way you're driving the streets.

It's not worth the troubles for such a little gain. I've had one in the past and took it off because I was too skerrrrrd to pay a big fine.

first, it's bad for the eviroment

second, the gain is so minor and you'll get a raspy noise

third, the smell and fumes are just stupid to sniff in everyday

fourth, how much is the cat ticket?

do you know what's worst? to do a stupid mod that yields next to nothing.

"dude, you got a tp?"

"yeah, i paid 100 for it"

"did it do sh-t for your car? i made 10 more torque in my evo with a test pipe thru out the powerband.."

"i has a gwape"
