It is. My cousin was workin 8-5 makin 40k a year. He got so sick of it. He quit his job and went back to school. 4 years later, he's now making $62/hourly.
He must have had undergrad.

4 years undergrad.
4 years Pharmacy school.

Not all undergrads have all the necessary classes for Pharmacy school either.

Pharmacy is certainly solid. I remember back in the days (around 1996), my cousin was a fresh grad from USC. Right off the start, Rite-AID offered him $100K + a basic bimmer. Remember it was back in 1996, so it was a very good pay.

He worked in the field for 3 years and started his own business selling vitamin's online. Able to afford a 500k house + support his whole family (4 people). He is the only incoming source.

It is a lot of work with good memorization.

My brother in law works at a Vons. They get paid double time and OT. I think maybe 2 1/2 during some occasions too. That is nuts.

He works every other weekend at an Asian Pharmacy that pays under the table too. $$$

i heard it's very hard to get into a good pharmacy school in CA too--like a lot of people have to go out of state. Anyone hear the same?

UOP.. University of the Pacific? The one in Stockton? http://web.pacific.edu/

I heard Pharm/Med School in CA in general is pretty tough to get into. Lots of people apply within CA and people in other states want to come to CA so it gets really competitive.
