If you are in IT start learning CCTV. The industry is starting to shift towards IP systems. Camera systems are going to invade your network. Be prepared.

 

I want to actually move out of most of IT and into more Dev.

 

Even that is low. My fiancee works at UC Davis Med Center making about $47/hour as an RN with three years experience in the NICU. Kaiser pays their nurses even more than that.

 

My suggestion if you want to switch to medical field, don't go with RN. It's very tough work.

Have you looking into Physician Assistant? 3 years of school with passing the exam. That's very simple position and not such crazy hour. Starting salary 70k annually.

How about Pharmacist? $55-60/hourly

If my CPA is not working out, that's what I intend to do.

 

yeah.. i actually did look into PA.. although its good pay, i heard the nurse route is easier.

 

Pharmacist seems pretty solid.

 

Pharmacist is A LOT of schooling.

My sister and brother in law are both Pharmacists. My sister has it made, she gets a few days she can work from home AND she doesn't have to work retail. Surf the net + work at an office/home ftw. $120k I think. She has several years experience now.

 

It is. My cousin was workin 8-5 makin 40k a year. He got so sick of it. He quit his job and went back to school. 4 years later, he's now making $62/hourly.

 

If you guys want to make more and working easy chill job. PUT IN THE WORK.

You pay your due @ school, and you'll enjoy life. Nothing is easy.

 

except if you become a dr.. some1 like that becomes one has to be passionate about it (with the exception of surgeons)
