If you go FI this allow you to boost a tad more w/o having to worry about poping the valves.

Springs are to prevent valve float at higher RPMS.
Ti retainers are only preventive measures, so that they don't crack on an overrev and drop a valve into the combustion chamber. If you bang it, you'll still bend a valve.

Correct. The lighter retainers allow slightly higher revs without damage from floating. the after market springs also add to that. I doubt this head would flow more than a factory head.
