Arrow Brown Engine oil?
has any1 dealt w/ brown engine oil??? i pull the dip stick out of audi a4 1.8t and i get a brown oil??? is it possible a coolent is mixed w/ the engine oil???

If it was coolant, it would look milky.

if you overheat an engine the oil turns a dark brown, also stains the head, when you pull the motor apart you can tell by this

to my understanding...they always turn brown and if old enough they get almost black...

Yeah, Chocolate Milk oil means coolant is leaking in from the head gasket.
