Default Brakes, brakes, brakes...

Okay, I surrender. Is there a brake pad (that fits '05) that doesn't create soooo much brake dust? ...And doesn't chew up rotors? ...And has equivalent or better performance than stock? LOL, yeah I know, I want everything.

Is the answer to switch to a BB Kit? If yes, which one?

Or can I just swap out the rotors and pads? Thoughts?

hahah my brakes create so much if I drive to my g/f house it look like I never clean my wheels. I would recomend changing pad to an aftermarekt one. On my m3 it would always be dirty till I change them to axxis. Increase stopping and no brake dust or barely any. But if you want all out stopping power you have to deal with the brake dust.

simple honda pad switch.......

get a set of 00-03 pads they are a different compound

I had 300 miles on the stock pads and switched them out....
no problems , no sqeaking.... all good

about $50.00
1/2 hour to change them out

and best of all NO DUST...

It probably takes more time to jack up your car then it does to change your pads... like most other things with this car...

Just go to the dealership and PU some 00-03 pads

the sooner the better....

IE.... if your pads have 25-30k and on the rotors... you will have some groving
and with out turning the rotors they will not match new pads...
they may grab from inner to outer pad and not wear evenly
or sqeakkkkkkkk......

I have a set of new stock 05 pads 300 miles on them and swapped
them out for the 00-03 pads

The dust is just not worth a few miles more

as for HOW many miles from stock pads... the 04-05 pads are softer and softer makes dust and less miles 20-30k ? maybe
GF's 04 Accord only got 25k out of rears
She does not drive with ebrake... I dont get it, every car I have owner40-50k for rears
and as little as 6k for fronts and a 1995 full sized Bronco
