Default Brake bleed experts

This is embarassing as I have done countless brake bleeds and have not had any issues but today i f'ed up.

In today's bleeding session with a new bleeder tube (it allows fluid out but not in) on the verrrrrry last corner i pumped for too long and the reservoir made a sucking noise. there was still fluid in there but air def went in.

So we finished bleeding that corner. there was air... but we bled till the air was gone.

i ran out of time (had to go to work) to go back and check the other corners.

My question is... do i need to rebleed all the other corners? if air gets sucked in while bleeding one corner.. does the air go thru the whole system?

i drove it and pedal seemed fine, no mushiness at all.

Thanks!

(teaches me to use methods other than tried and true ones like plain old bleeder tube )

If air enters the brake system through the brake fluid reservoir, it will make its way throughout the entire system and eventually end up at any of the 4 brake calipers depending on which port (front/rear) it entered at the master. If air enters through any of the calipers, then the air will stay near the caliper it entered because the fluid pressure is exerted towards the calipers from the master, not from the calipers to the master.

In your case, if your brakes feel fine, they most likely are fine. If you have air in the system, you will definitely know it as the brake pedal will likely sink before it grabs. If you’re paranoid about the whole ordeal, then yes, you must rebleed all four corners starting with the caliper farthest from the resovour.

That's what i need to know, thanks!

pretty sure it was the front port as there was air there immediately after sucking sound.

in any case i'll probably have to get all corners redone as the car is hitting the track on sunday. Dont want the brakes to fail due to being to cheap to buy more brake fluid..

thanks again

Billman's gravity bleed method never worked for me. I could sit for over 30 minutes at any corner, constantly topping off the reservoir, but the air bubbles would never go away.
Friend pumping the brakes works much faster.
