The only Blackstar Canyon that I know of in the area is off Santiago Canyon Rd. near Silverado Canyon. The Blackstar Canyon Road is gated and turns to dirt beyond the gate. It goes to the Main Divide Truck Trail on the ridge in the Santa Ana Mountains. It meets the Main Divide at Beaks Place. Beaks place is just below the doppler radar site (golf ball) that you can see on the ridge. I have ridden Blackstar many times on my Mountain bike. It's a very nice ride but not recommended for the S.

Blackstar is off of silverardo, first left when you turn onto silverado from santiago. It's about 1/2 mile to a mile...not twisty, ends in a gate with dirt road beyond. It's not a mountain road for driving, sorry. Do Ortega (with caution) or just cruise santiago/silverado/modjeska slowly and enjoy the scenery.

Blackstar is a residential area. Nice roads, but if you get caught... Bye bye car.

Ortega is the only place. Santiago Canyon isn`t much of a driving experience.
