best honda service in san diego (2003 update)
Yes, I know there have been threads about which dealerships to not go to in san diego for scheduled services, but I don't think they've been updated in awhile ... and being someone who will be needing to take my baby in soon for an annoying rattle, and the schedule 15k ... I am interested in 'actual' experiences with SD honda dealership service depts. Which one do you think is best ... and actually knows what a S2000 is!?!
My limited experience: when calling to see what a 7500mi service included (wanted to make sure I had done everything already myself!) only Pacific Honda on convoy even knew you didn't rotate the tires. In fact, the SERVICE MANAGERS from both Cush and Ball argued with me when I asked them to check their notes on tire rotations for the S!!!
Please chime in.
Brian

Another vote for Weseloh Honda in San Juan Capistrano, speak with Tony.
If you don't want to go that far, then my father has had good experience with Pacific Honda, I've never had my car serviced there personally however.

Pacific Honda is the best in SD. Cush is awful. If you go to Pacific, I recommend speaking with Shawn Dvergsten; he's helped me out most every time I've taken my car there for service. They also have a nice quick-change bay for oil and filter type services, where you can watch the guys work and make sure they don't mess anything up.
Don't have an exact count, but with >67k on the clock I've been there probably 20+ times now without a problem. My first two services were at Cush (where I bought the car) and the messed up both times.

Hey Brian
Cush is crap. Stay far away from them.
The guys at Pacific are decent. But make sure to double check everything they do. Pacific will be very careful with your car not to mess it up unlike other dealerships, but from my experience are a bit lazy and will forget or half-ass do things.
PS. I know you want to go on my julian run this sat

Since we hear a lot about bad dealerships, I thought I would add my 2 cents here for Pacific Honda. I took my car in for oil, tranny, and diff fluid changes. It only cost $75 (reasonable in my book) and they made no fuss about using the Mobil-1 I brought. They were done quickly, and when I checked (thoroughly!) for leaks and scratches afterwards, there was nothing at all to complain about.
I've also been to their quick oil change service three times, always with complete satisfaction.
