Thumbs up Been to ..Vietnam, Hong Kong, Japan, Thailand?

Hey guys,

I am planning to go to Vietnam, Hong Kong, Japan, and Thailand.

We will need to stay in all these places.

I need recommendations for Hotels, Apartments, Houses, Hostels, Any living quarters that are not dumps. At least American standards.

We are traveling with 6 people and can do 1 room. Or 2 rooms. A house or apartment/condo would be nice.

If you have any hook ups from family or past experience, please post here. Especially for JAPAN and VIETNAM because we will be staying there longer then the others.

Thanks boys! and girls..

UPDATE
The trip is 2 weeks. I hear you don't need to stay very long in some destinations and others longer. I need to stay in District 1 in Vietnam since there is women traveling with us. Also we are flying to Tokyo, Japan. All your information would be helpful!

Places to go?
Where to stay?

The list is endless as the traveling guys know.. Im looking for your experience or expertise Thanks!

oh man, i did japan, vietnam, thailand this summer. it was awesome!

i dont think any of my recommendations would help since i went low budget and single, so mostly hostels.

but if you want any advice on what to do, especially in vietnam and thailand just ask.

really tho, read lonely planet and you cant go wrong.

I'm in Tokyo, Japan right now and staying here at Hotel Kawase all week. Really cheap if you book online.

Why are you bringin' food to a buffet?

I stayed a District 1 when I were there last year. There're so many hotels there. You can get a very decent hotel (3 stars) for $30/night, no need to make reservation or anything. It would be nice if you know the language because you can haggle/negotiate with them.

I MISS VIETNAM.
