Beater Help :(
i'm trying to diagnose an intermittent stalling/starting problem with a 94 accent.
symptoms:
-stalls at idle randomly
-will crank, but not turn over when recovering from the stall
-will eventually start after 10-20 mins
-after driving the car w/o symptoms and parking, the car will fail to start up, exhibiting the same issue noted above
things tried/new parts thrown at this beast:
-new camshaft position sensor
-new crankshaft position sensor
-new knock sensor
-new spark plugs
-new head gasket
-cleaned idle air control valve
-cleaned MAF
-new air filter
the battery has been tested twice, by two different testers. the battery and alternator are both in excellent condition.
i was told that it could be an injector issue, but i'm not fully buying that. any ideas?

I'm almost positive it's an electrical issue. Every Hyundai I have ever seen is plague-ridden with electrical issues. It's gotta be some unknown/hidden sensor.
That's my best guess anyhow. I know its not super helpful but hopefully you can chase this down. Unreliable beaters are =/

when i tried to pull the codes it came up with low voltage to the IAC (idle air control valve). this is why i suspected it was a battery issue.
i checked all the fuses, even swapped some around and nothing changed. i'm at a total loss on what to try next.

does it reliably start after 10-20 minutes or only sometimes?
there doesn't seem to be a method of firing it back up on the first try either. a few times disconnecting the battery and connecting it again did the trick, but it seems as if those were a fluke. i tried that method several more times and it didnt turn over.

i'd say replace teh IAC, many older camry have the same discribed problem even after cleaned IAC, but after replacing it problem went away.

You're surprised a 94 Hyundai Accent is a lump o crap?
sadly you're right. i had to replace or fix half a dozen things on this thing. the kicker....it only has 150,000 miles on it. it was just a commuter car while out of state, but i'd like it to be reliable for the next person. that and i would just really like to KNOW what the problem is/was.

*update*
i found a new symptom that might help solve the riddle.
while cursing at hwy speed....somewhere around 60mph the engine felt like it just cut out for a split second. there was a slight jerk and then it was back to life, skipping only that split second.
could this be the culprit that is causing my random stalls? what the heck could it be?
