Before all you guys destroy your cars, please take a minute to read this.
David, i dont know if you have ever entered that parking lot but i can tell you from first hand experience that it is extremely steep. There really is no easy way in and out of this parking lot. I know, I play tennis there twice a week
Anyhow, I dont want to sound like a party pooper so i am going to give you a couple of options. First, there is another parking lot much easier to acces on Balboa blvd. Its a little bit of a walk to the open grass area, but i think walkin is better than damaging your cars. On that note, you guys wont be close to your cars once BBQing so maybe thats not that great an idea.
#2 There are two other parks very very close by that should be an even better location. One of the two even has BBQs already there so no one has to bring one. There is Genesta Park which is located right on Ventura Blvd one block west of Balboa. Usually gets crowded in the late afternoon from the basketball players so if we go here, bring some shoes. Lets play some ball
The other location would be to go to Woodley park which is about 2 miles East of balboa park on Woodley. Lotsa open space here too.
David, hit me up and i ll help you with whatever you need. I ll also bring stuff too
