Anyone use a air purifier for their apt/room?

Air cleaners are a funny thing. I had one in every bedroom that I thought worked well (daughter has asthma and she immediately stopped having problems + my wife said I stopped snoring). Well, it put out a bunch of ozone and they yanked them off of the market so I stopped using them. This year, my daughter moved out of the dorm and into a new apartment bldg with carpet so we had to do something. I wound up buying a
Multi-Tech Air Purifier (XJ-3000C) by Surroundair are doing some research. I basically turned it on and left it in her room with the door shut for a few days before she actually moved in to new place. The new carpet smell "seemed" to go away. Also, it is barely audible. That was late August and so far, so good. So, I "guess" that it works. It's $129 on Surround Air's website.
There a tons of different purifiers around and all make claims of effectiveness. Good luck and maybe others will provide some feedback.

Also interested but don't know enough about them to make a purchase.
I have some slight allergies still and I am concerned with indoor pollution which I've been told is worse than outdoor in general! Yikes!

if anyone needs, I get discounts from soleusair.com. I'm not too knowledgeable about the air purifiers, but we do offer ones with the hepa filter (carbon filter that filters like 99.999991999999% of things). Avoid de-ionizing ones, if you come across those as those pose a health hazard.

I never thought about that... but I just toss them. Maybe I should wash them now..
Actually, my home theater works as a dust magnet just fine. Wipe it every few days and I'm good to go.
